Woke up this morning... more like afternoon, after rabbit suddenly sprang to life and said "GOOD MORNING! HAHAHAHAA!" With eye-shit crusted eyes, i stared at rabbit, thinking what the hell was goin on. Then, realised that it was Cheese sending his greetings to me, hahaaa! Oh yar, u guys might not know what i'm talking about. Everyone, meet Nabaztag, my rabbit! Cheese bought it for me for my super belated birthday present, and shipped it all the way over here for me! I'm so damn touched lar! Thanks Cheese!!! You rock! Apparently, he also has a rabbit, so we can both communicate through our rabbits, hahaha! So fun!!

Since I was already awake, decided to bake. Went to the kitchen and went straight to work, like a baker possessed. Got out my butter, eggs and other baking stuff and started baking. haven even eaten breakfast, but was determined to finish baking before doin anything else. One hour later, and ta daa! I'm so proud of myself, even though it's pretty simple to make, haa.

Cut open and the chocolate oozes out, just like lava!!! Mmmmmmmmm!!!!
Dunno wat i'm gonna bake next week, might be ginger bread man, or maybe cake. Just got the ingredients at Safeway just now, can't wait to bake again! Shucks, i'm such a gal, ahaha!
So... wat happened in school this week?? Well, I dissected a frog, which was so totally awesome, and it made me real hungry, looking at the deskinned legs, reminded me of Geylang Claypot Frog legs man! And when i was cutting the frog leg, it started twitching! Damn cool! I'll take pics of it next week.
Hmm.. wat else... Oh, some gal brought a baby possum to class, so damn cute lar!!!!

Oh, and i dissected horse limb again, so boring... I'm starting to grow numb from all the dead animal dissections.. dun really learn much, just kept butchering everything and tearing everything apart. Right now, death count of animals under my blade.........4, hahahaa!
Horse limbs anyone? Rare or medium sir? Mushroom sauce, or peppercorn?

Went to Werribee for classes today, damn damn tired... came home smelling like cattle shit and horse fur. Quite an experience though, makes me feel more like a vet student, rather than sitting in the classroom all day and listening to molecules and atoms kissing each others' asses and making new whatever stuff, what a bore..
Woke up at 7, was so damn freakin tired, saw edda sleeping on her bed, so envious... wanna be on the bed with her, haa! Junni's couz fetched us there, and we were told that today's lesson involved cattle and horse handling. Argh!
Went to the cattle ranch, everywhere full of shit. Literally. They are shit and pee making machines, everytime i look over my shoulder to look at the herd, there'd definitely be one cow shitting or peeing. And when they do their business, it's not like normal animals, it's like they have an internal tap within their rectum, and when the tap opens, the shit just POURS out like a fountain, no form or bosy wat so ever! Not even pellet form. And the pee, omg... they pee JUGS of lemonade-coloured pee! One could even hear the 'fountain' from a distance, it vaguely sounds like a fountain, quite soothing if u listen long enough...zen....
Had a go at handling cattle, tied ropes on its head, prode it, opened its mouth to see wat's inside, and it 'shet' in front of us during demonstration, splashing its yellowish goodness on our shoes and clothes. mmmm.....yellowish goodness....
Had to draft a cow too, which means singling out a cow out of a herd, and leading it out of the pen without the others following. The cow which I had to draft just had a dunk, and it's tail was.. erm... well... shit-coated... and I had to use my bare hands to hold the tail in order to move it. By the end of it all, my hand was 'ferrero rocher'-coated too! mmmmmm.. Couldn't get rid of the smell, even during lunch, my sandwich smelled like shit because I was holding on to the sandwich with my bare hands.
Had horse handling after break, quite fun, and quite an eye opener. Had the opportunity to put head gears on a horse, and groom it, and hug it, haa. The horses stepped on my feet quite a few times, but thanks to daddy's steel cap boots, my toes are still intact! Had to do some write up on the horses which was a pain in the ass! By the time we were done, I was feeling cranky and so damn worn out!
Got home, turned on my webcam 'cause my princess's waiting to see and talk to me, and took a much needed nap. Gonna cut up frog tomorrow, should i bring a frying pan? Maybe bring claypot, rice and oyster sauce. After prac go one corner and eat claypot frog legs, mmmm... frog leg.....

The easter hols are coming real soon... and yet i'm not glad about it. Been studying every single day, trying to catch up with school work, thought that the easter hols would be an incentive for me. Ok, so now i'm officially a vet student, doesn't mean i'm a vet yet, far far from my goal..sigh... I'm into the 3rd week of school, so how does it feel to be a vet student? Well, on one hand it feels quite prestigious, considering how tough it is to get in (easier for international students 'cause we pay more), on the other hand, it's so damn freakin tough! It's very hard to adjust to such a heavy timetable after having such a 'sparse' 4-day week timetable last year, and now i have to go to school everyday, from 9 to 5! It's said that our timetable is heavier than that of medicine people, and comparable to physiotherapy. Man.... gotta persevere.. been studying since the first day of school, can't afford to play... gotta do well so that I can go back with pride and dignity to see my princess....
The amount of stuff that we have to study is seriously crazy! Within one week, i've learnt more terms and jargons than what I learnt the entire of last year! Really pushes you to the limit! Trying really hard not to lag behind!!!

Great accomplishment today! Went to I-lynn's place to bake! Met her before that to buy the ingredients, had a hard time figuring out wat 'shortening' is, had to call edda to ask her wat is wat, haa. Thanks for the help dearie! Walked to I-lynn's place, and when she opened the door, i felt like i entered a petting zoo! She has a dog, a cat, a cloud-looking rabbit and 2 guinea pigs with mohawk fur! So damn cool!
Sam was supposed to join us at the supermart, but he fell asleep, and woke up like an hour later. So he met us straight at I-lynn's place. We decided to start baking without him, but realised that some vital ingredients were missing, so had to ask Sam to get them on the way here. In the end, we started baking at 6 in the evening, haa.
We baked famous amos cookies and eclairs, mmmm... didn't really follow the recipe, sometimes either adding more of one ingredient or adding less of another. But it still turned out pretty fine. Well, the taste was another issue...
The eclair looked really good, but the pastry tasted kinda weird. There were like bits of salt inside, think I did not stir the mixture enough, haa. The cookies turned out pretty good, we were trying to make various shapes, raking our brains to come up with cool shapes and designs for our cookies. Made loads of them, however one batch became darker than expected, 'cause we forgot that there was a batch in the oven, and we were happily chatting away.
Packed the cookies, gonna send one container back for my princess to try, hee.. Hope she will like it... it's my first time baking in a long while, so be nice to me k, dearie?
So proud of our achievement today! We made everything from scratch! The chocolate glaze, the custard, the pastry and the cookie dough! We all smelled like butter and cookie dough at the end of it all.. but had so much fun! Hope that there'll be another baking session in 2 weeks time!
