The Nightmare Begins Now....

Hey people... been quite a while since I blogged....nothing much happening anyway, sooo boring over here, and the weather isn't helping... chilly and damp and cloudy, perfect conditions for hibernation... dun feel like doing anything at all, just wanna hide under my blanket and sleep my life away...

Well, this week I finally did rat dissection... It turned out better than I thought it would. I was expecting myself to puke or faint, or even freak out like nobody's business, but at the end of the lab, not only was I laughing and chatting with my lab frens, but I was kinda hungry too! haaa! My rat specimen was huge!! It was the biggest rat I've ever seen!! Almost the size of a small cat!! That's the freaky part! In the beginning, I was kinda unsettled by the whole thing, because we had to collect the rats from the basin, all filled with bags and bags of rats... really gross! And they look like they were sleeping so soundly... kinda sad actually... I was praying that mine was a male, because I heard that someone dissected a female rat and found babies inside! So tragic.... Mine turned out to be a fat male rat, as described by the lab tutor, because he said "Boy! You have a fat one!! You're gonna need alot more effort to de-skin it!" Took me like forever to peel off the skin lor! And the smell was horrible!!! It smelled like a dead animal, or a rotting corpse, haaa! I was making fake vomiting sounds, and my friends asked me to shut up, haaa...

The entire lab session was pretty interesting actually, and it was quite funny too... My friend pulled out the rat balls without knowing, and she shoved them back, ahahaa! Amanda took a pic of her rat too, with the intestines all laid out beside the rat, kinda sick man... But now that I've dissected my first animal, I feel more confident about myself and I'm another step closer to being a vet, ahahaha!

Heard that you guys have all fnished your exams and having a ball man!!! How I envy you guys, my exams are gonna start in a month, soon I'm gonna have to start hitting the books, gawd.... I'm just hoping that I'll do well... but usually that's not the case.. since the celestial powers like to use me for entertainment... bloody hell.....

Since my parents were in town, and they have nothing to do, my dad decided to bring us on a day tour around Melbourne. As the title states, we went to the Puffing Billy, which is a steam engine, something like Thomas the Steam Engine, and it was kinda fun at first, but after a while, it just got boring.... I was sitting at the edge of the train, trying to gain some excitement, but instead I got really cold, and my legs got numb....

After that, we went to this place called Furgerson's Vineyard to have lunch.... the best part about the lunch is FREE FLOW of RED WINE, WHITE WINE and BEEF!!!!!! ahahahaha!!!! My dad and I ate and ate, meat overload!!!!! And I drank quite abit of white wine..mmmm..... Bought this bottle of awesome red wine, Forte Shiraz, its super nice man! Best red wine i've ever tasted!!

After this, went on our way to Wildlife Reserve. On the way there, I was damn sleepy, too much meat... fell asleep on the bus... almost choked on my saliva when I woke up, bloody hell.... luckily never flow out... Damn dazed in the beginning of the tour, until I saw the animals, so cool!! More interesting that Singapore Zoo, and it doesn't stink.

The tour ended after the wildlife tour, took an hour to reach the city, slept all the way... but damn uncomfortable, not used to sitting in vehicles anymore, kanna motion sickness damn easily.. basket.. Got a headache from hell.. and really really worn out... Gonna go shopping with my mum again tomorrow... woo hoo~~~~

Ladies and gentlemen, let's put our hands together to welcome 2 new members to the Chan family, Popcorn and Karupin!!! They're actually my sis's kittens, but they like to play in my room.... the one in the pic is Karupin, and she slept on my bed last night.... basket... They're only 7 weeks old, and so tiny... love Karupin's eyes... so blue... but their shit stinks like hell!! Still a dog person though, but Chuppa is still the best, miss her so.......

Anyway, its the easter break! Woo hoo!!! One week of break!! Yesterday went to eat dim sum with the gals, once again it's 8 gals to 1 guy.... after that they "forced" me to bring them to my place 'cause they wanna see the kittens... but the kittens were at home yet, so we decided to watch movie. I told them I wanted to watch Ice Age 2, and I thought we already decided on it, but when the show came on, Amanda Bynes was on the screen instead on Scrat and Sid! I was in utter shock! I've been conned to watch "She's The Man"! I paid 12 freakin bucks to watch a chick flick! Was shouting in the cinema, but the gals told me to sit down and shut up... basket... apparently they "thought" that I knew we were gonna watch this show instead... not a bad show though, one of those loveless romantic movies where u feel lovelorn after everything... but I still felt cheated....

After that, they came back to my place to play mahjong, even Sandya (she's indian) was playing... though not at the speed of light, unlike Bena and I, ahaaaa!

Oh, had a shock of my life this morning! When I woke up, my mum was standing in my room!!!! I was lost for words, my sis thought she was having a very bad dream.... apparently my parents came without telling us!! Gawd... after that I couldn't sleep, at least for an hour, then I fell asleep again.... When I woke up again, had chwee kuey and glutinous rice, ahahaa! My mum brought them all the way from Singapore, it was awesome, but got sick after a while, too oily... After eating, I fell asleep again because it was raining outside, so in total, I slept 3 times today.... can't blame me, everywhere is closed due to easter friday, and there's nothing to do at all! Looking at my mum tidy up the place made me feel tired anyway.... But it great that they're here, do some catching up and stuff, and I get to eat real good food, and buy stuff without feeling guilty!!! but still very shocking...

Ok, going off now! To the NUS brats, good luck for the upcoming exams!!! To the SMU peeps, enjoy your holidays now, and to the NTU pple, all the best for ur exams too!!! Seeya real soon!!!

Had chem prac today, so boring.... spent 3 hours building molecular models of organic molecules, and half the students don't know the difference between axial and equatorial positions on cyclohexane... gawd.... I sound so nerdy right now....

Anyway, instead of building molecules, I built other things instead, 'cause I was way too bored, and there was nothing interesting to look at, and I had finished the lab report before hand, thanks to Bena, buahaahaha! So, here are the molecules that I built:

Gawd.... woke up at 8 this morning, realised that day light savings is over, so it's actually only 7... went back to sleep till it's really 8 plus, den dragged myself out of bed to get ready to meet the gals at Melbourne Central. Its so god damn early!!! Sucks to wake up so early on a beautiful Sunday!!! But because we were going to Werribee to check out the place, I had no choice... If you guys dunno, Werribee is the place where I'll be studying during my 3rd and 4th year of Vet, and its way way way out of the city!! Its really really far away!! We took a 4o min train ride, and I was really lethargic and pissed all the way there... too tired... all the gas were busy chatting and laughing, I was listening to my Ipod and sulking... ahaaa!

When we reached the place, my brain started to wake up, and I wasn't sulking that much, haa... The place looked more like a hospital than a school, and we were brought on a guided tour of the entire place, including what we would be doing over there during our 2 years of study. It was really interesting, and for once I was actually interested in something! I saw lots of cool stuff, like x-rays, operating equipments, icky things like tapeworm and mites and played with ferrets!! They're so cute!! Gawd!!!

Finished the tour in the afternoon, den went to the city to get Shianny's birthday present. After that I came home to chill, and went for Shianny's and Amanda's Birthday party in the evening. Nothing much really happened, just the usual BBQ and the laughing and chatting and small talks, and cutting cake and photo taking.

I need guy frens.......

Got Chem mid term test next week, and Bio test is the week after... dammit.... Can't wait for the Easter break.... need lots and lots of sleep......

Man.... so tired... did so many things today... went so many places.... my weak heart can't take it.... need to sleep.... Jimz out.....
